For the most part, I'm okay with the AL team selections...the Red Sox that are going are, Manny, Papi, Jonathan Papelbon, and suprisingly, Mark Loretta. I say suprisingly because while I voted for him, I didn't think he would get voted in by the fans. However, I think Curt Schilling and Josh Beckett were shafted. Both of them were deserving, particularly Schill.

On a semi-related note, I just find it hilarious that Jose Contreras had to LEAVE the Yankees to win a World Series ring. Also, because I remember how the Sox would absolutely tee off on this guy.

Speaking of being shafted, how come Barry Zito is the only one of the A's that got selected for the All-Star team? They are in FIRST PLACE, for Christ sakes! Nick Swisher was definitely deserving of a place on the all-star team, maybe even Bobby Crosby too.

Honestly, I really don't care a whole lot about the NL team...except for Bronson making it! You know, when I see how well he's done this year, I really don't understand why the Sox got rid of him....and especially when I think about how after Wake, our pitching is pretty much a crapshoot. It is really nice to see him doing so well:)
